Long Shackle Padlocks - Brass and Steel

Padlocks with an extended shackle are for use when an ordinary closed shackle padlock won't fit. So generally long shackle padlocks are easier to fit in awkward situations and perhaps where two surfaces don't quite reach. When using a long shackle padlock you should bear in mind that these padlocks are more prone to attack because of the easier access to the longer shackle which are easier to cut off using cutters and saws.
